Meet Megan Naquin MS, RD, LDN she/they
Megan Naquin is a US-based Registered Dietitian. Megan received their Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Arizona and their Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Rhode Island, where they also completed their dietetic internship. During their first two years of practice, Megan worked at the residential, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care for the treatment of Eating Disorders. In recent years, Megan has worked with individuals on their concerns with weight, managed and supervised a team of skilled dietitians, and has been a consultant in various healthcare settings.
Megan utilizes an evidenced-based approach along with a Health At Every Size (or behavior-focused) lens on care. They have received advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and recently completed the National Peanut Board’s Certified Peanut Pro program (advanced knowledge in the health benefits of nuts/seeds/plants). They have experience providing nutrition therapy tailored towards blood sugar management/insulin resistance, bowel/GI concerns, body image, conscious/intuitive eating, disordered eating or eating disorders, LGBTQ+ related food concerns, and women’s health.
At this time, Megan is interested in advancing their knowledge on the Low FODMAP diet to better serve individuals suffering from IBD/IBS, and plans to integrate this expertise into their patient care. They are also awaiting their authorization to work in Canada to be able to bring their care to individuals living in Ontario.
